Project 3: Channel Identity

The knowledge and skills developed in Tasks 1 and 2 are carried forward into Task 3. In this project, we continue to build the channel identity by creating a motion graphics video featuring the animated logo of the selected brand from Task 2 — Luckin Coffee.

Storyboard

To begin, I created a storyboard that visually captures the vibrant and innovative spirit of Luckin Coffee. The frames outline key motion design ideas that reflect the brand’s unique personality and flavor. The storyboard serves as a guide for the animation flow, emphasizing smooth transitions, brand colors, and dynamic movement to effectively represent Luckin Coffee’s identity.

REFLECTION

This motion graphics project helped me enhance both my technical and creative skills. I explored advanced features in After Effects, such as keyframing, working with multiple layers, and using cameras and null objects to build smooth, engaging animations. I also learned to remove backgrounds and integrate video with text effectively. Throughout the process, I developed a stronger sense of how to communicate ideas visually while maintaining a polished and dynamic flow. This experience gave me a deeper appreciation of how motion graphics can be used to present information clearly and leave a meaningful impact on the viewer.
