Task: Project 1
INSTRUCTIONS
Week 5:
Introduction
A structured workflow improves efficiency and creativity by focusing on clear thinking, organization, inspiration, and goal setting.
Key Steps
1.Understand the Question
Asking the right question is as important as the answer.
Use search engines and critical thinking to analyze problems.
2. Fill in the Blank
Create an empty folder as a framework.
Organize and add information step by step.
Keep files synchronized across software for smooth workflow.
3. Get Some Inspiration
Build an inspiration library by studying great works.
Learn from others to develop your own approach.
4. Set the Parameter
Creativity needs direction to be effective.
Manage time efficiently as a key constraint.
Identify personal strengths and use them strategically.
References guide the process, but the final goal is your own unique solution.
By following this workflow, you can enhance productivity, stay organized, and refine creative problem-solving.
For this assignment, I will develop an infographic that effectively presents information through visual hierarchy and typography. The process involves the following steps:
1. Reference Selection
I will choose an infographic poster from the internet as a reference.
This reference will serve as inspiration for content structure, layout, and visual elements.
2. Redesign Process
Based on my ideas and workflow, I will redesign the infographic content while ensuring clear visual hierarchy and typography.
The design will be formatted to A4 size.
I will simplify the original poster’s colors, shapes, and patterns to enhance clarity and aesthetics.
3. Animation Development
After completing the infographic, I will transform it into a static looping animation page.
This ensures the final presentation maintains engagement while visually reinforcing key information.
This project allows me to apply design principles and animation techniques to create an effective and visually appealing infographic.
This is the original image I found, and then I analyzed the icon. This is a picture that tells children what you should do. I plan to redesign it.
This is the second edition after the revision
I made my design using Procreate on iPad, so I didn’t take any screenshots of the process. This is my finished product.
Feedback:
The teacher said that my title was not clear enough and he preferred the original one. The borders beside it were not neat and it looked bad so he could just leave it alone.
REFLECTION
This assignment helped me deepen my understanding of visual hierarchy and typography in infographic design. By selecting a reference poster and redesigning it, I learned how to simplify complex information while maintaining clarity and engagement.
Throughout the process, I focused on color, shape, and pattern reduction to create a more structured and visually appealing A4-sized infographic. This reinforced the importance of layout organization and how design choices impact readability.
Transforming the static infographic into a looping animation page introduced another layer of creativity. It made me consider how to present information dynamically while ensuring a smooth and effective visual flow.
Overall, this task enhanced my ability to communicate data through design, balance aesthetics with functionality, and integrate static and animated elements for a more engaging user experience.
