This week the teacher taught us about prototyping and introduced how
to use Figma and Adobe XD, as well as the tasks we need to complete.
Our task is to design the layout of a digital resume using the
selected prototyping software. Define the location of different
sections and how they flow together, apply a consistent visual
design with typography, color palette and appropriate spacing.
Prototyping is an essential step in the website and application
development process, which aims to create a visual model or sample
to demonstrate and test the functions and interactions of the user
interface.
Purpose: The main purpose of prototyping is to assist the
development team and stakeholders in visualizing and understanding
the appearance, functions and interactions of the final product. It
helps to collect feedback, identify problems and make improvements,
ultimately reducing costs and risks in the later stages of
development.
Types: Prototypes can be divided into low-fidelity prototypes and
high-fidelity prototypes. Low-fidelity prototypes are usually quick
rough sketches or wireframes used to explore and communicate
preliminary concepts. High-fidelity prototypes are more detailed and
are usually created using specialized prototyping tools to simulate
the appearance and functions of the final product.
Sections and organization: The resume should be organized into
logical sections, such as "Personal Profile", "Education
Background", "Work Experience", "Skills", "Projects" and "Contact
Information". The priority of each section should be based on their
relevance to the target position.
Visual elements: It is very important to include relevant images,
icons, or placeholders that are consistent with the content and
enhance the visual appeal. After creating the prototype, the
designer can invite users or stakeholders to test it. Testing is
designed to evaluate the usability, comprehensibility, and user
satisfaction of the user interface. The feedback is often used to
improve the prototype and resolve potential issues before
development begins.
In summary, prototyping plays a vital role in the web and
application development process by providing a visual representation
for testing and improving the user interface. It can help the team
understand the project requirements more clearly, identify potential
problems early, and enhance the overall user experience. Prototyping
is adaptable and can be customized to specific project needs and
goals.

RESEARCH
I started with a basic understanding and research of the project,
and once I was familiar with it, I started to create my work.
The teacher recommended Figma to us, and I started to familiarize
myself with this tool. The tutorial and the size specifications
provided were very helpful to me, and I will use the information
provided above to create my work.

Project 1 was a good test of the basics of prototyping, using
Figma to familiarize beginners with how to create better works in
a more concise way. Integrating the content in the document into a
digital format forced me to think about effective presentation
methods in digital media.
